Fermat uses account information and learning content to provide tutoring and save your work.

Information we process

Account information includes your email address and authentication identifiers. Google sign-in may also provide basic profile details. Supabase Auth handles email and password authentication.

Saved learning information can include lesson requests, conversations, answers, progress, whiteboard and document content, reading activity, and generated materials. If you upload a PDF, extracted text may be included in saved lesson context and AI requests.

AI and voice services

Relevant lesson content is sent to configured AI providers to plan lessons, tutor, assess responses, and generate materials. Fermat’s integrations can use OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic, and Deepgram, depending on the feature. Voice features may process audio and transcripts through speech providers or browser speech services.

Hosting and storage

Vercel hosts Fermat. Supabase provides authentication, persistent session data, and private image storage. Resend delivers account emails. These services process information needed to operate, including technical request information such as IP addresses and service logs.

Cookies and account access

Authentication cookies keep you signed in. Account checks and storage access controls restrict access to saved sessions and images. Signing out does not delete saved account or learning data.
